Prerequisite: Your site must be verified with Google Search Console. If it is not then please do that first by following How to verify site with Google Search Console
Step 1:
- Sign into your Google Search Console (formerly known as Webmaster Tools): https://www.google.com/webmasters
Step 2:
- Click Other Resources > Structured Data Markup Helper
Step 3:
- Select the appropriate data type of the structured data you wish to create
- Enter the URL of the page that contains the information needed for the structured data
- Click Start Tagging
Step 4:
- The left side will display the website you entered. The right side will display the tagged data items.
- From the left side click the data to tag > menu list will appear > select the appropriate tag type
- The tagged data will now appear on the right side
- Repeat steps to cotinue tagging other types
Step 5:
- If the data you wish to tag is not on the web page, click Add missing tags to enter them manually
Step 6:
- Select the tag type you wish to add
- Enter the data
- Click Save
Step 7:
- When done tagging click CREATE HTML
Step 8:
- Change output format to JSON-LD
Step 9:
- Copy the structured data markup
Step 10:
- Using a separate browser tab/window log into your WSI Genesis website
- Navigate to WSIGenesis > Settings
- Scroll down to Header Scripts
- Paste the structured data markup
- Click Save changes
Step 11:
- Go back to the Structured Data Markup Helper page from step 9
- Click Finish
Step 12:
- Click Structured Data Testing Tool
Step 13:
- Enter your website URL
- Click RUN TEST
