Step 1:
- Open Microsoft Outlook 2016
- Click File > Add Account
Step 2:
- Select Manually setup or additional server types
- Click Next
Step 3:
- Select POP or IMAP
- Click Next
Step 4:
On the POP and IMAP Account Settings page, enter your information as follows
- Your Name: Your first and last name as it will appear to recipients
- E-mail Address: Your email address
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming mail server: mail.domain.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.domain.com
- User Name: Your email address
- Password: Your email account password
- Click More Settings
Step 5:
- Navigate to the Outgoing Server tab
- Select My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
- Select Use same settings as my incoming mail server
Step 6:
- Navigate to the Advanced tab
- Incoming server (IMAP): 143
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 3535
- Server Timeouts: 3 minutes
- Click OK
Step 7:
- Click Test Account Setting…
- Click Close
If the test fails, please ensure there were no mistakes in previous steps and test again.
Step 8:
- You're all set!
- Click Finish
