Step 1:
- Open Mircosoft Outlook Express
- Select Tools from the menu and click on Accounts
Step 2:
- A new window will open called Internet Accounts
- Click on the Mail tab then select Add
Step 3:
- Another window will open called Internet Connection Wizard
- Replace John Doe with your full name
- Click Next
Step 4:
- Replace jdoe@domainname.com with the New Email Account you are setting up
- Click Next
Step 5:
- Set, mail server to POP3
- Incoming Mail Server to mail.domainname.com
- Outgoing Mail server to smtp.domainname.com
- (replace domainname.com with this new Email account’s domain name)
- Click Next
Step 6:
- Enter the full Email address under Account name
- Enter the Email Password
- Check Remember Password
- Click Next
Step 7:
- Click Finish
Step 8:
- Your new email account is now added to Outlook Express
- Click once on the New Email account then click Properties
Step 9:
- Select the General tab
- Mail Account: Enter your email address
- Name: Enter your name
- E-mail: Enter your email address
- Continue to Step 10
Step 10:
- Select the Servers tab, ensure that all the settings are correct
- My incoming mail server is a POP3 server.
- Incoming mail (POP3): mail.domainname.com
- Outgoing mail (SMTP): smtp.domainname.com
- Under Outgoing Mail Server check My server requires authentication
- Continue to Step 11
Step 11:
- Select the Advanced tab
- Ensure POP3 is set to 110 and SMTP to 3535
- Set Server Timeouts to 3 minutes
- Click OK
Step 12:
- You will see your new email account that you just set up.
- Click Close
