Our spam filters perform several layers of checks to filter email traffic. Any email message classified as spam will be placed in the Webmail Junk E-mail folder. It's recommended that user's check their Webmail Junk E-mail folder every few days. If an email message is being placed in the Junk E-mail folder it's likely due to a black listing or poor reputation of the sender's email server and ultimately it's the responsibility of the sender's email service provider to ensure that their servers are free from any black lists. However if the sender's email service provider is neglectful in keeping their servers free from black lists you can do the following to allow the email messages through regardless of any black listing.
If an email message you want to keep is placed in the Webmail Junk E-mail folder, you can do the following:
1) Log into your Webmail (http://mail.example.com)
2) Locate the email message in the Webmail Junk E-mail folder
3) Right click the email message > Actions > Mark > Not spam
This will move the email message to your inbox where it will be safe and can be downloaded by your email client such as Outlook. This will also automatically add the sender's email address to the Trusted Senders list so that future emails from that sender will be received normally regardless of any black listing.
You can also manage the Trusted Senders list manually at any time. This is useful if you want to add an email domain rather than just an email address. To do this:
1) Navigate to Settings > My Settings > Trusted Senders
Here you can add, edit, and delete all entries. To add an entry click Add and you can add either the email address (ie. email@example.com) or the email domain (example.com). An email domain will allow all email addresses from that domain to be received normally regardless of any black listing.
Please take caution when added an email domain. It's unwise to add domains of free email services where millions of users use the same email domain (such as hotmail.com, yahoo.com, gmail.com, etc.).
Note: Webmail Junk E-mail folder will hold email messages for upto 30 days. Email messages in the Webmail Junk E-mail folder older than 30 days are automatically deleted.
